I am a founder of a meetup group (meetup.com) titled The NY Film Student Meetup Group. My idea was to create a forum where people can find gigs and network with other actors, writers and filmmakers. What I didnt expect was to have people constantly soliciting filmmakers & actors for their different events.

Right now, I have two bands who want their gigs filmed (small budget) and an organization that wants to create a minidocumentary for their children's programs. I also have a filmmaker who needs an actress for a short (silent) black & white film, though i'm not sure how much that one pays, if at all. I dont know the specifics right now, but I will be happy to give you information about the interested party. Whats in it for me? nothing.
