We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL DBA for a one-time database optimization project. We publish a large content-and-ecommerce website, running ColdFusion 8 and MS-SQL 2005 on Windows. The project is to analyze a typical workload and identify long-running and inefficient queries, then make recommendations for optimization of queries or server configuration. We aim to improve site performance in order to facilitate continued growth.

You must be expert in all aspects of Microsoft SQL syntax, database configuration, and analysis. Familiarity with ColdFusion is a major plus.
