Romani Vintage Italian w/Campy, Modolo - $900 (Piitsburgh, Pa.)
This is an exquisite bicycle and a real Italian thorobred. Not as well-know as the most famous houses, Romani was founded in 1924 and their work is superb. This bike is a 59cm sport racer that is striking and special from every angle. The components: Campagnolo crankset, pedals, headset, hubs(Record) rims(Ypsilon), front derailleur, rear derailleur(Triomphe). The crankset is especially beautiful. Also feature NOS Modolo "Speedy" brake levers and sidepull calipers(never used). Other components: Vittoria Competition tires, Selle San Marco Rolls saddle, SR Laprade seat post, SR Royal handlebar stem, Modolo carbon fiber downtube shifters. Frame has original black metalflake paint and Romani decals, but frame and fork are comepletely chrome-plated beneath. You will not be disappointed with this bike. Has a few spots missing paint and torn or patially missing decals-you forget about them in a second. Columbus tubing, Campagnolo dropouts. S&H to NYC and environs, add $85.
