This is a rental for June 1st to August 30th, with the opportunity to take over the lease at the end of the August. The apartment is the top floor of a three-family house in Jersey City Heights. Hardwood floors, 10'-12' ceiling/floor height, and great light throughout.

Rooms for rent: One room is approx. 20'x 9' and the other is approx. 12'x10'. Both have windows and closets. The $800 includes rent for BOTH rooms (which are right next to each other), as well as access to wireless internet service, cable (in one of the rooms), gas, electricity, hot water. If you install an air-conditioner, we will renegotiate the cost of electricity per month, since the cost will most likely be higher. Rooms are unfurnished.

The common spaces are a kitchen with dishwasher and a bathroom. There is no living room because it was converted into a bedroom.

About me: I am a 28 year-old female graduate student teaching at New York University; I also work part-time on the Upper East Side. When I am home, I am usually working, reading, or relaxing quietly. I don't smoke or do drugs, and won't be able to live with folks who do either. I can't live with most kinds of pets because of allergies. I also keep the apartment neat and clean, and expect a roommate to do the same e.g. clean all your dishes by the end of the night, clean the bathroom every other week, take out trash and recycling, etc.

The apartment is a bus ride from PATH station at Grove, Journal Square, and Hoboken (buses stop at the end of the block); or a 12-15 minute walk. PATH station is 10 minutes into Downtown Manhattan or the Village, and 20 into Midtown. Street parking is pretty good, even without a permit. Laundromat is on the same block, grocery and shops a 5 minute walk away.

Please e-mail me at the address above if you have any questions or would like to see the apartment.
