NYC to LA - Me & my 2cats, you and/or your stuff (Jersey City, NJ)

I am moving to LA near the end of June - I plan on leaving June 19th at this point, but it could be a little later than that. I would like to find someone to share the driving/gas/truck with. I am also open to taking stuff for you and meeting you there - for some much needed gas money. This trip will cost around $3000, so finding ways to lessen that has great appeal.
I am traveling with 2 cats. They will be a noisy pain for the first couple of hours, and then they resign themselves to the whole thing and travel pretty well. I am pretty tolerant and open-minded and all that.... My only firm requests are - if you smoke, it won't be much while we are moving and you are blowing it out the window; and no heavy metal or polka music. I want to do this drive in about 5 days - some serious driving without killing ourselves. The route is negotiable.
