Sweet 4-year-old HENRIETTA is tall and gorgeous, a stunning blue pittie with white patches of fur. But not matter how beautiful she looks, it can't hide the fact that this lovely 70-pound girl has had a hard-knock life. When she arrived as a stray just a last week, there were small marks all over her body, and her ears were crudely cropped. But here's the thing-despite it all, she's an absolute angel on earth. (In fact, the shelter's behaviorist rated her "No Concern" the best score a dog can get.) She's gentle, she's patient, and all you have to do is cup your hands, and she will pad up to you and place her sweet, sweet face in them, gazing up at you with beautiful, soulful eyes. Even though she's unsure, even though scared to be in the shelter, even though she doesn't know what's going to happen to her next, she has not lost faith that someone, somewhere will love her and treat her with the kindness, compassion, and care she so absolutely deserves. I knew from the moment I saw her that this was a special dog who could offer her person so much joy, love, and loyalty. SONJA is a sweet, friendly playful 1.5 yr F rednose american staffordshire terrier .... she is absolutely a looker of a dog and she's a solid 55 lbs.. She knows basic commands, is housebroken and gets along with other dogs - she was previously in a foster home with a male Jack Russell and female shepherd (but she prefers males) and loves people! and boy does she love to fetch!!!! but because she likes to hold onto toys and other items, it's best if she goes to a home with kids 10 yrs+....unfortunately she DOES NOT like cats but regardless she is an absolute doll!!! and deserves a home that will appreciate her and her breed...She is a dominant girl and needs a STRONG HUMAN PACK LEADER... THEO (Middletown, NY), tall, energetic boy who loves to play play play.. a good dog who will need a dog-savvy caretaker to give him his obedience, exercise him and socialize him SLOWLY with other dogs -- he does well with other dogs as long as he is introduced properly and slowly; Simply Stunning and so smart and cool; great with Kids, too.
MAX (Middletown, NY)- sweet special boy who went from being the ultimate survivor stray to a cuddler and a lover; he'll do great with someone who does not leave him alone for full 8hrs days, or he gets anxious 2 be left alone: but he does very well chilling in his crate for a few hours if home alone, as long as properly socialized and exercised, as all dogs should be. Max loves to chill on a soft and fluffy pillow next to you.. about 6 yrs of age. a true survivor and a loving smart good, very very special boy.

LADY (PA)--our little, unique too-cute-for-words Lady, was said to be not-dog friendly bcz she barked and barked at dogs in the neighboring pens; but then one day, lady somehow escaped her pen, and was found happily running around the other dogs, creating no trouble; we still suggest a slow intro to other dogs for her and maybe a home as the only dog, to begin with, as to assess further; but we're very proud of Lady for how long she has come from being a throw-away mama, literally dumped at the kill shelter as trash, after she was used as a breeding machine: she was so emaciated and sad; but look at her recent pictures below, a filled-up in fact CHUBBY Lady and her toy, she awaits a home to call her own! staying behind bars too long will make anyone chubby, please--help Lady get FREE and into a HOME after so many months and get the exercise, home and love she deserves!
BLANCA (PA)- another gorgeous staffie mix girl, about 2 to 3yrs of age, who was used as a breeding machine and then dumped at the kill shelter; Blanca is lovely & too cute, indeed, with her all-white coat and BIG piggie ears! She is very obedient and smart, she loves being with people and was well trained, she knows SIT and a few other basic commands well, she listens and obeys; she is a lover and a cuddler and LOVES to play and interact with people; she is fine with other dogs, although bcz they used her for breeding, it'd be best to do slow introductions with other dogs. Blanca is gorgeous and unique, and she will love a home who can give her the attention she craves: she so longs to be part of the family.

After making a few calls, the Specialty Veterinary Hospital came through and offered their services at a discount price of $2,000. That is a huge discount considering that a surgery like this usually costs over $4,000.
Although we are able to get a discounted price for this complex surgery, it is still a lot of money, especially for a non-profit organization. So we are asking for your help to raise the $2,000 for Jake’s surgery. We hope that you would find it in your heart to make a small donation to support this precious boy.
