Chef/Managing Partner

Company Name: Mascott Corporation/ Markers Restaurant-Jersey City, NJ
Position Description: To be based out of our flagship restaurant, Markers Restaurant, in Jersey City, NJ, we are looking for a Managing Partner who will:
1) Run all operations of the restaurant (Upscale casual dining, high-volume upscale take-out, and catering)
2) Provide Culinary Leadership in connection with the operation of Markers' kitchen, and menu development for the dining room, Markers Express (high volume To-Go) and catering (on and off premise)
3) Work with our management staff in directing the overall operations of Markers
4) Lead the devlopment of new concepts in the future (or the expansion of the Markers brand).
4)Serve as an integral member of our Executive Committee which is responsible for managing our proprietary concepts as well as the five other franchised brands under which we operate 10 restaurants, bakeries and cafes (with a devlopment plan to add at least 30 new locations over the next 4 years).
Qualifications:
1) Extraordinary culinary skills spanning a broad range of cuisines.
2) An intense sense of curiosity regarding all aspects of the restaurant business.
3) Internal drive to achieve nothing but excellence.
4) A degree in Culinary Arts plus a minimum of 5 years of Executive Chef experience.
5) Experience in running high volume fast paced kitchens.
6) Experience in running FOH operatons.
7) Experience in managing bar opertions.

Mascott is currently looking to agressively expand is restaurant business, both under its proprietary and franchised brands.
Recently, Mascott signed a 30 store development agreement as a Founder's Club franchisee of Smashburger. Mascott is looking to open its 30 stores in Northern NJ over the next 5 years.
