muhlenberg regional medical center has served the plainfield, and its 13 sur-
rounding communties for over 130 years. Our numbers and patient satisfaction
scores,among other statistics demonstrate we are the best hospital in this region and one of the best in the nation. Muhlenberg serves a diversified people
who work, live, play, and pray well together. A certificate of need has been
filed. We need interested buyers, investment groups, hospital management teams
(good ones) to come forward and run our hospital. Particularly, if you know of
creative ways to manage charity care. Currently, Muhlenberg needs about 1.5 -
2 million a month to help fund charity care. The state tells hospitals they
have to care for the uninsured, but will not provide the funds to do so.
