About the Author

Walter LeConte, another highly regarded Yankees authority, assisted Mark Gallagher with the updating of the fourth edition of "The Yankee Encyclopedia". He is an active member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) and resides in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
