Little Orphan Annie Found a Home but She's Homeless Again -- Pls help (Sweet, cuddling, loyal)

Annie is a true New Yorker: strong, determined, compassionate, and carries a backpack. Sweet Annie was once homeless but found a loving mother that took her home. However, her mom was recently handled divorce papers by a mean husband who kicked them out of their home, and Annie, again, is an orphan and homeless. Annie is now sitting in a cage at a shelter.

We want to help Annie but need a foster home. Annie is a lovely dog. She loves people and gets along fine with other dogs. Annie knows commands and is house trained. She behaves well at home when left alone. We love her warm, hopeful personality.

I have two wonderful cats who are brother and sister that I have owned since they were a few weeks old. They are now 4 years old. They are gray tabbies. They are adorable, loving, and extremely friendly with children. The female is a bit more shy and takes a little while to come over to new people, and the male loves to come over and cuddle as soon as he meets you. They've been around children as young as a few months old and are gentle and love them. Both are indoor only and front declawed. They have both had their regular veterinarian visits and shots and are neutered and spayed.

One year ago, I moved to a new home and had a change in my job to 12-hour shifts and about 20 minute drive each way, so about 13-14 hours out of the home. This has led to some urinary issues where the cats will go outside of the litter box. This happens when I don't have the time to play with them and keep the litter boxes in tip-top shape. When I was working 8-hour shifts and cleaning every day, this was not a problem. I have struggled for the past year deciding if I should put them up for adoption, but decided that I am not giving them the love and attention they deserve and they should be in a home where they can get this. They are brother and sister and sleep, cuddle, and play together (love playing "fetch," etc), and I would only consider putting them up for adoption together. They really need a loving home where they can be played with on a daily basis, and again they are very loving and gentle with children.

To ensure that they are going to a good home, please let me know of your past history of pets in your home. I would also require a small adoption fee to assure that this is a serious and genuine adoption, but I would also be willing to offset that with supplies. Thank you.

I have had my Uromastyx for about two years, but unfortunately can no longer care for him (her), as I am moving overseas for 6 months. He is a very sociable lizard, and he is very easy to care for. Experience with reptiles would be ideal, but I am willing to educate the right person. He will come with two tanks, a 20 and 40 gallon long herp. enclosures (he has grown quite a bit), with screen tops, 4 heating lamps, and an extra bag of calcium enriched sand substrate, as well as food dishes and habitat decor (rocks, wood, etc.). I will also have him vet-checked again before he goes to his new home. If you have any other Uros, that would be a major plus. Any questions are more than welcome. I can take some photos of him if any requests are made. Please consider giving this very friendly and adorable (at least I think he is) lizard a permanent home

How can you resist that little face! 6 month-old Zac was rescued from the Manhattan kill shelter and is now resting comfortably in a wonderful Queens foster home. Poor Zac was picked up as a stray, but is now anxiously awaiting his forever home! His foster family can't say enough wonderful things about him-- well behaved, was able to be off-leash on a camping trip without incident, sweet and respectful-- he is the perfect outdoorsy family dog! Zac is currently suffering from a mild case of dermatitis, a non-infectious skin ailment which is usually diet controlled. It is breaking my heart(you have no idea) but i have to do this. They are both very healthy, are more or less up to date on their shots and are very friendly. They do not have to go to the same home. Suidakra (the fat black one) would be best in a quiet home with no other cats or dogs, she is sweet and shy but would love to sleep next to you if you love her and feed her right. Vegas(The striped one with no tail) would be best in any home that will show him lots and lots of attention he likes to jump on anyones lap that will let him. "When I walked and photographed Sandino yesterday, his name was "Unknown" on his card. His personality, however, became most apparent when I got him outside. He is Mr. Calm & Patient, which befits a 5-year-old. He didn't squirm and fight a tether. When I brought him near other dogs outside, he seemed to ignore them, but later inside he greet them as if they were long-lost brothers and sisters. He really enjoyed my petting him around his head and neck.

MOOCH - a 10 mo SWEET AS SUGAR and WIDE EYED AND BUSHY TAILED DREAM hound/boxer/pit mix pup didn't even stand a chance at the shelter!!! SUGAR is a beautiful 2 yr old female rednose small brown and white Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is an "itty bitty pitty" at only 38 lbs!!1 LOOK AT HOW ADORABLE SHE IS!!! Sugar's owner surrendered her because of "landlord" issues. This is a shame because this diminutive girl, who won't likely grow any more, couldn't be a friendlier or more easy going apartment mate. True to her name, Sugar is definitely a sweetheart. While Sugar's interested in playing with other dogs, she is very eager for human companionship. After walking her in the Shelter's backyard (she's a breeze on the leash) and sitting for a minute, Sugar rested her head in this volunteer's lap and was eager to be petted. While Sugar does not appear to have been trained (she looked bewildered when asked to "sit"), she is very attentive and appears ready to learn obedience from a teacher armed with patience and tasty treats.

Hi! I'm sorry to say i can no longer care for my two amazing ferrets so i'm putting them up for adoption with a small fee. The ferrets come with a free multi-level cage complete with many platforms and a play tube attached to the top. I am not, however, putting only one ferret up for adoption, as they are a pair and would hate to be separated. If you want to arrange to just adopt the ferrets and do not want the cage, that is OK. I have some ferret toys and a big bottle of anti-smell solution to put in their water that i will also include upon adoption. Their names are Twizzler and Switch but it doesn't matter if you want to rename them, as ferrets don't normally respond to a name anyway. Lady is young (not quite 2-1/2 years old), weighs 49 pounds, and is a beauty: Her soft-as-silk coat is patched black and white with polka dots here and there. She's easy to handle, walks nicely on a leash (no pulling), and since she waited to "do her business" until she was taken out-of-doors, we think she might be housetrained. She has a wonderfully gentle, friendly disposition. She's very affectionate with people; pet her and hug her and tell her how nice she is, and she'll be super-generous with kisses. ROXIE is a sweet 1.5 yr old female brindle shephard/pit mix... she originally was brought to the shelter at the end of last year as a stray. Poor Roxie, she was sooo emaciated, the shelter staff thought she was a little reindeer when she was brought in (see top two photos)... a rescue group pulled her and placed her in a foster home that fattened her up and ended up adopting her because she turned out to be such a loyal lovable sweet princess of a dog. (see bottom two photos) She's great with all people, big and small and all dogs big and small... her only vice is that she's not great with cats even though she lived with (2) of them...she tended to chase them so the owner just kept the cats in a separate room... although they were let out every now and then and the owner felt that Roxie could be trained with them...

TWO AWESOME GIRLS BEING PUT DOWN FOR SPACE---CAN YOU FOSTER OR ADOPT ONE OF THESE SWEETHEARTS AND GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE?

SARAH is a very friendly and super affectionate 1 year female, a stray at the shelter since 7/9. A sweet and sassy one year old who loves to play and go on long walks. Sarah loves to cuddle and give kisses, though her previous life
was hardly a cushy one. She would be a wonderful friend and companion.

Super-duper sweet Briana, is a very affectionate dog who likes to lie down next to you on the Kuranda bed.
She may be 1-1/2 years old, but she's as petite and energetic as a young pup. At the shelter since 7/4, she appears to be hyper in her cage, but it's only because she wants to go outside to do her business -- and once she's outside, she's delightfully easy to handle. She's a pretty, attentive girl who will make a wonderful walking (or jogging) buddy. She was found as a stray on 7/4/08, and she's a deliciously mild gal. Briana weighs 45 pounds.

When saying good bye to these two sweet girls tonight, one volunteer commented,
upon seeing their names on the Euthanasia List,
"It was hard to part from her. I think that she seemed to understand me when I told her that she would be soon in a better place"...............

I had my dogs vaccinated at the luvmypet.com clinic at petco. They were tested for heartworms and are negative. I wanted to buy the heartworm pills online and they won't write a prescription and will only let me buy from them. I'd like the Iverhart Plus instead of plain Iverhart or Heartgard. Any vets out there who could write a prescription? I can provide proof that they had vaccines and are heartworm negative.
