The Danbury Mint, a division of MBI, Inc., seeks a Jewelry Quality Control Specialist. This role involves inspecting jewelry for quality and value, writing product quality critiques, communicating such evaluations to vendors and our marketing department, and coordinating third-party product testing.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
* the ability to evaluate the construction of jewelry, including the durability of stone settings and functionality of jewelry mechanisms (e.g. clasps, backings, prongs)
* a working knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, platings, and jewelry manufacturing technologies
* excellent organization and communication skills and a strong, self-motivated work ethic
A minimum of 5 years experience evaluating jewelry quality is required.
