There are a lot of dogs who are in danger of being put down tomorrow, but Zuester is particularly sad because, with his cropped ears and large size, he was pretty much "doomed" be overlooked in adoptions at the city shelter. While the smaller dogs came and went on to happier places, Zuester sat and waited, patiently, for a person to love him. Now, the shelter has given us only a few hours to make major headway in the homefinding process. It's a tall order, but I have confidence in this wonderful dog. Shane is a cropped earred, silvery grey, extremely handsome boy. Even our most seasoned shelter employee stopped and muttered "beautiful" as he walked by. He's an elegant sight coming down the street! He's cool as a cucumber, too. The overwhelming impression of Shane is that he is happy to see you, but wants to take friendship slow until he is sure of your intentions. He is cautious and wise, but never unsocial or mean. Our volunteers pet him all over and kiss his silver fur without fear . He's an extraordinarily quiet dog, ideal for an apartment. Shane is a reserved boy,but the right person will discover new things to love about him as the days pass. He minds his own business around other dogs and is low energy.

This poor dog is on the euthanasia list for space, and he never even got a real chance to stay in adoptions. He got a very good behavior test and great reviews from volunteers, but the shelter needs space, so Joseph has to go!!He is petite and adorable and PERFECT for an apartment at ONLY 27 POUNDS. He is Such a friendly dog. Good with people and dogs alike. Housebroken and totally fantastic on the leash. Best of all, Joseph knows the sit command. He was out a lot with various volunteers and only great comments about him.

Honestly, if you're up late reading this, you are looking at a GEM of a dog who is in the situation because of bad luck. That's all! he's got the whole package of goodness- small, easy to manage, alert, obedient, docile, kissy, and great with dogs. Short of bringing you breakfast in the morning, what more could you want in a dog?

I'm going to be completely honest here and see where it goes... This is me....

*I am a WELL experienced nanny. I have been caring for children of all ages for over 6 years. I LOVE children; and they love me (3/4 of the time :) ).

*I am a mother of a 4 month old son. He is the light of my life; plain and simply put. I am fortunate enough to not have to put him in daycare while I work; his daddy works nights and takes care of him during the day while I'm available for work.

*I am currently not working as a nanny (but looking to change that obviously). I'm working in a office setting job; have been since I found out that being pregnant means a temporary end to your nanny career. I have not not been able to get past the "empty" feeling since not working in my passion- caring for children. I feel as though every day is pretty much wasted, my talent/love for children is "wasted" (except for loving and caring for my son, of course) and I feel like I will do so much more if I'm able to step back into the nannying world.

*Because I have fixed care for my child during the day, I am totally reliable to show up on schedule- rain, snow, sleet or shine. I completely "get" that me being late means my clients are late... which clearly is unacceptable.

*I am only able to start a job after 8:30am because that's when my fiance gets home from work and is able to take over care for my son. I am understanding that that can be inconvenient to some parents; and I'm willing to take a slightly lower wage for that inconvenience.

*Being that I am very experienced (and have reference letters and a portfolio that will dazzle a prospective employer), my rates are reasonable. I am not out to "rob" anyone, just to be able to pay my bills and make being away from my son for any amount of time worth it I will not; however; accept a wage lower than $400/week (and a gas stipend if the travel is further than 1/2 hour away) for full time hours/care.

*Truthfully, anyone who reads my references/resume or spends 15 minutes to talk/meet with me will know that I'm one of the "passionates" of the nanny world. I'm REALLY not bragging... I'm in it for the long haul, respect for respect; love for love back. Children are my life, my profession and my reality. NO other job has ever been as fulfilling to me.

*I take the time to further my knowledge of the ages of the children with whom I'm working for. You have a child who's teething? I've got resources/ideas. I go to a nanny conference filled with workshops; infant sign language just as an example of one. I have a certificate to show for my attendance just two weekends ago this year. We are a rescue organization that pulls from the high kill shelters. Sometimes kittens and cats come along that are more suited to an outdoor life. They make great barn cats. We have quite a few available.
They are fully vaccinated, healthy, altered and micro-chipped. They can all be handled, medicated, but are either shy or somewhat fearful of humans. Most enjoy time with their humans though, but prefer the company of other animals. These are the shy ones. We don't really have ferals, but we do have a couple of sisters, white angora with one green and one blue eye, that would prefer to be left alone. There are about 5 girls including Lira pictured in this ad that are simply more comfortable with other animals and happy to visit their human on their terms.
We waive the adoption fee for these cats to appropriate homes.
Please help these animals as the alternative is very grim!

I am a single parent, and I work full time outside of the house. My 7 year is in second grade and my 5 year old will is in kindergarten. My 5 year old has special needs; she does not walk or talk, is in diapers, does not feed herself, and is adorable!

We have 2 small non-shedding dogs who are on the invisible fence.

Our home is small, but it is a home. Our nanny has a private room, and the laundry area is in her room. We never enter on a whim!

We provide a car, a health insurance stipend, food, computer with internet is located for your use in the kitchen.

I treat my nanny with respect and consider her a member of our family.

The current hours during the school year are:
6:45am-7:45am, M-F
2pm-6pm, M, W and F, or if I have to stay late at work, a little later. Tuesdays you take the girls to meet their father for dinner around 5, then pick them up from him around 7. The girls go with their father overnight on Thursdays and need to be dropped off with their father at 5pm.
2 Friday nights a month
2 Sunday nights a month

School vacations I will need you during the days, M-F, for the work week.

During the summer the girls are in camp, and the schedule is consistent.
