PMA Consultants, an ENR top 30 CM consulting firm, potential positions for Project Controls Engineers in the Newark, NJ Metro Area. A B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is required.
The qualified candidate will have 1-5 years of relevant work experience.
- A strong emphasis on scheduling in design/construction projects working in owner organizations developing and analyzing schedules using Primavera, P6, and myPrimavera.
- Cost control, preparing engineering budgets and generating cost reports, reporting and analysis.
- Use of relational databases as well as experience in MSSQL, Visual Basic, MS Access, and Crystal Reports a plus.
- The qualified candidate will also have knowledge of delivering and developing automated interfaces between program management systems & business applications.
- Prior experience in the commercial construction industry is a plus, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

2. Additions and modifications of existing buildings based on the latest codes.
3. Foundation design, shoring/bracing and underpinning design for all types of structures.
4. Review of steel/ concrete shop drawings, and sealing of drawings as required by specifications.
5. Complete design of all types of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures from start to finish, along with computer modeling and AutoCAD drawings.
6. Field representation, RFI, RFC and change order resolution on behalf of client, construction manager, or contractors.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in estimating and administering public sector (NYCHA, HPD, DORMITORY AUTHORITY, ETC..) contracts, and be versed in the requirements of the NYC DOB ,OSHA, and other relevant agencies requirements and procedures.
