My coed soccer team is in a need of a few hearty souls to play outdoors on Friday nights this winter (the season begins January 8). We've been doing this league since Fall 2008 and have a great time before, during, and after games. The core of the team ranges in age from early 20s to early 40s so players of all ages will feel comfortable. Great mix of folks that work for non-profits, the City of New York, financial services, and play some music. The skill level on the team varies and we tend not to take it too seriously and have fun with it. However, we've managed to win one league cup while having fun so it's possible to have a friendly and fun Friday night kick-a-round and win a few games too.

If you need to lose weight I know exactly how you feel. I used to be in the same place as you. I was 80 pounds overweight and and couldn't seem to lose it. Here is my story...

My name is Nicole. I live in Greenwich Village with my 2 children and my amazing husband, who I have been married to for almost 10 years. CALABRESE, JOAN ZARA (nee Ammazzalorso) 75 - passed away peacefully on November 7, 2009. Born December 19, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Italo and Yole Ammazzalorso, she lived in New York City for most of her life where her son cared for her during her last years at home. Joan "Zara" was a belly dancer internationally known for her Anatolian style of dance. She headlined and performed regularly at the famed Latin Quarter in New York and the 500 Club in Atlantic City, where she met my father Looch Calabrese. She appeared on the Joe Franklin Show and was written up by well known columnist Dorothy Kilgallen in Look Magazine. Her beauty was undeniable and she was admired by many, including baseball great Joe DiMaggio. She was extremely creative and loved to write poetry, paint, play the piano and was a published song writer. She gave selflessly of herself and often gave her last dollar to those less fortunate. She is survived by her son Louis (Lucci) Calabrese and his fiance and Joans' best friend Jenni both of New York, Daughter Lisa McLaughlin of Margate New Jersey and granddaughter Carlee who is a carbon copy of her grand mothers beauty. I have always worked and I have never gone on any government programs.

Well, my current landlord decided to continue collecting rent from me even though he was not paying his mortgage. The house has been forclosed on and we have been told to get out! I'm not on Section 8, welfare, or any other subsidized program.

We are a family of eight. We have a small baby at home. Our five oldest children are in school right now. We have ONE modest income. My wife lost her job last month. How do I come up with THREE rents to enter a new apartment, cover the moving expenses, continue to feed my children, and do all of this in 30 days?

Put yourself in my shoes. My kids are great kids, wonderful students, and a great and supportive home team. My children work hard all year round to keep the family going. They study hard, they help with house work, they don't cause problems, they don't ask for expensive clothing or toys, and now that Christmas is coming they will be rewarded by being thrown out into the street.

Please help me show my children that there is still hope for those that are willing to work HARD.

I'm not asking for a handout. I am looking for overnight work, something steady that will help me give my children what they need and deserve. I don't care what it is but I need it to be overnight so that I don't lose my day job. I'm hoping for an adequate income, something in the upper $20,000s to mid $30,000s. I cannot feed my children on anything less.

I don't want to collect welfare. I think tax payers have enough burdens on their hands without having to support me and my family as well. Please help an honest man find honest work.

I am clean, drug and alcohol free, hard working, honest, with over 20 years in the work field, no criminal background, no problems with any previous employer, and I am a fast learner at ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I set out to learn.
