Large Wholesale Food Distributor is looking for Sales Representatives with a solid foodservice sales background.
We are seeking a bright, experienced and motivated sales associate to join our established company. Applicant should be an upbeat and innovative individual with success in a fast paced environment. Sales associate would sell our products to fine dining restaurants, country clubs & premium caterers in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be to generate, develop and expand sales in new and existing food service operations, while aggressively seeking new accounts.
Acquire new food service accounts through referrals, cold calling, leads etc.
Achieve food service sales volume, revenue, and profitability goals for the assigned territory
Maintain accounts with regular customer contact and order-taking
Build and maintain customer quotations.
Provide superior customer service
Ability to close a sale
Calling on existing accounts
Preferred Job Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience
Candidate must have at least 3 years experience in specialty food and/or specialty food sales. Culinary graduate, chef or food service management a plus
Being resilient and assertive to opposition and not only be able to achieve and exceed goals, but have a proven track record of results that exceed sales goals and targets
Must be an independent self starter, hard working, and a team player
Thorough knowledge of foodservice products, pack sizes, applications and kitchen operations
Skills/Abilities: Intermediate proficiency in the operation of a personal computer in a Windows environment to include the Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Intermediate proficiency with numeric data analysis. Ability to navigate sales reporting systems.
