The rooms are within walking distance to the Bronx Zoo, the Botanical Gardens, Saint Barnabas Hospital and restaurants in Little Italy. It is a surprisingly good neighborhood for the Bronx. Convenient to shopping (great cheap food at the supermarkets near the restaurant district on Arthur Avenue).

Many buses, including the 5, 9, 12, 15, 17, 19, 36, Q44 and others. The 17 is only 100 feet from the front door. LaGuardia and JFK airports are both about 1 1/2 hours away by inexpensive public transit. The Q44 express in particular takes you directly to the JFK Airtrain. MetroNorth, the 2 and 5 trains are all about 15-20 minutes away. The total travel time to midtown manhattan is about 30 minutes via the 17 bus and MetroNorth, or 1 hour via the 17 bus and the 2 or 5 train.

How to get there? If you are taking public transit, I suggest you go to hopstop.com. Remember that the apartment is in the BRONX, not Manhattan. If you are driving, go to mapquest.com There is easy parking on the street in front of the building.

Free washer on premises. Cable TV and high speed internet provided (WiFi and ethernet). All bills paid. Small fenced backyard. Robots regularly clean the floor. There is even a high quality treadmill in the living room for your use.

Please note that this room comes with use of a washer and treadmill. Think of all the time and money you will save NOT going to the laundromat and gym.

Don't be fooled by "per week" rents. There are 4 and 1/3 weeks in a month, not 4. So, to properly compare prices you would need to multiply the weekly rate by 52/12=4.333 (not 4). For example, a weekly rent of $119 would be the same as my monthly rent of $514.
