Position Objective:

Within the context of a welfare-to-work continuum, WeCARE provides a full range of social and medical evaluation, case management, job readiness, job placement and retention services to individuals with disabilities, with a focus on developing customized goals based on individual strengths and limitations and moving individuals toward economic independence.

Provides support to the WeCARE case management unit in the delivery of assessment, counseling, and referral services to program participants. Assists case managers and Supervisors with WeCARE participants in program phases that may include Wellness, SSI, or vocational track.

Essential Functions:

• Works with case management staff to provide support for the assessment and case management of participants in the WeCARE program.
• Conducts program orientation for new participants.
• Acts as proctor to program participants during academic and vocational testing and assessment.
• Assists with monitoring of participant attendance in program and participant outreach.
• Assists with the compilation of all necessary and appropriate assessments, evaluations and related documents, both formal and informal, in a timely manner.
• Performs administrative duties to assist the supervisor of assessment/vocational case management in the administration of the case management unit, including but not limited to the maintenance of client files and data base system.
• Assists in maintaining participant database files in compliance with agency guidelines and procedures.
• Enters data into WeCARE and HRA computer-based programs.
• Performs administrative duties related to maintaining records, statistics, and documentation.
• Performs administrative functions and assists in compiling data and information for periodic and ad-hoc statistical reports.
• Assists in preparation for program audits, surveys and other reviews.
• Manages all program operations in accordance with HRA and industry regulations, agency policies, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Attends and participates in meetings, staff development sessions and in-service training as assigned.
• Maintains and executes documentation and workflow through computer-based programs and technology that draws on basic software/computer skill set.
• May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities.

Educational Requirements:

B.A. preferred. High School diploma or GED will be considered with 3 years related experience.

Skills and/or Experience Required:

• Fluency in Spanish required.
• Two (2) years of administrative experience preferred.
• Understanding of the special (employment) needs of the economically and socially disadvantaged.
• Experience with the disabled population preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Effective problem solving skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Basic computer software literacy and computer usage experience.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, high volume, fast paced environment.
