I was served a summons for a debt collection case in Bronx County shortly after I moved to California.

I've been trying to fight this, mediate, work with the plaintiffs outside of court to no avail (all from CA) and now need legal help by my side ASAP.

This is a small case in small claims court and will mostly involve filing some forms with the court house and trying to negotiate a settlement. There may be a court hearing as well I might want you to attend.

This job would be ideal for an unemployed NYC certified lawyer who needs supplemental income. I cannot pay the going rate for a lawyer as I am going through a hard time financially, but I can pay a FAIR price under the table for your services and advice.

Please be able to provide proof that you are able to act on my behalf as a lawyer in New York City, be able to go to Bronx Civil Court when I need you, and also have some experience with this particular part of the law. I do have a lot of questions!

Preference will be given to the person who can provide proof of their status as a lawyer TONIGHT.
