We are a leading eCommerce company looking for a senior designer/creative director to lead our creative team. This position is responsible for leading the overall design of a highly visible website. The creative director will work directly with a creative team of designers, developers and copywriters to create sales-generating marketing and advertising pieces including implementing an ongoing site redesign, creating UIs for new features, banners, emails, and other content. Candidate must 5-7 years experience in an eCommerce setting and have experience in executing concept sketches, information design hierarchy and wireframes. Management experience is also necessary.
This position is responsible for:
• Overseeing and implementing a consistent ongoing site redesign
• Creating UIs for new features
• Creating banners, emails, and other content
• Motivating and building the creative services department
The ideal candidate would have:
• 5-7 years experience in an eCommerce company
• Experience in interpreting business goals and understanding and implementing marketing concepts
• Knowledge of the latest design software including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, other rich-media & emerging technologies
• Basic understanding of PHP, Flash, and AJAX, also a familiarity of HTML, Javascript, CSS, XML/XSL a plus
• Management experience and the ability to map out, organize and prioritize multiple projects

• Must be highly communicative and able to lead a team effectively
