This is a spectacular 10th floor open plan loft is in one of Brooklyn's huge, former factory buildings. The building's entrance and elevator are still as if the entrance to a factory. Upon entering the loft from the hallway you are amazed at where you have arrived.... a stunning, bright and fully renovated apartment that retains it's industrial feel. The resoration of the interior was planned and designed by a great New York City architect.

There is one bedroom with a King size bed and an open plan concrete bath and separate shower with huge overhead showerhead. This 1800 square foot home features magnificent views of the Manhattan, the East River and The Williamsburg Bridge. It is located practically a stone's throw from Manhattan. There are air mattresses available.

There is a 2 night minimum for weeknights, 3 night minimum for weekends and a 5 night minimum for holiday weeks. Rates below are for up to 4 people.
100.00 cleaning fee per stay for under one week and 100.00 additional for each subsequent week. 300.00 refundable damage deposit.

Mass transportation is close by, or arrive in Manhattan in minutes by one of the nearby car services. Average trip from the loft to SOHO about $12.00 and takes about 10 minutes. There is a list of these car services in the loft.

Or stay in wonderful Williamsburg for a great time. The neighborhood has many restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Diner is two blocks from the loft and has great breakfast, lunch, brunch on the weekends and dinner. Next door to Diner, Marlowe and Sons, is a small, upscale food store with an oyster bar in the back. Both these places have a great atmosphere. Across the street is a bar/club called Bembe -- they make the best Mojitos in town and play a mix of reggae/latin dance music. A mixed crowd that really likes to dance.

The north side of Williamsburg has many avant garde books stores, performance spaces - Galapagos - and lots of great restaurants, bars and shops. For a unique experience -- The Future Perfect is one of those stores. Try Nom de Guerre for men's clothing.

Room available for June vacation or sublet in great Williamsburg loft- high ceilings, great location (a block from Bedford Ave). Stay for the first week for $1000, each week after that, add on another $500 (negotiable depending on how long you would like to stay). Great deal!

The room: 10 x 10 with a well-built, white-painted loft (it even has stairs!). The loft is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed (on the loft) as well as a comfortable queen sized fold-out futon sofa downstairs. I'll provide clean bedding and towels. Free wireless connection for your computer, windows looking out over the street and a small park. Hardwood floors throughout the entire apartment. High ceilings, lots of windows and light. Very comfortable. Oh- and laundry is just down the hall!!

You will share a kitchen, bathroom and living room, complete with a shelf in the 'fridge, and all the cooking and dining tools you will need.

The loft is a close walk to both the J/M/Z subway and the L subway, all of which are just one stop away from Manhattan.

We're in the epicenter of NY's coolest neighborhood (known for its artists, writers and musicians)- there are tons of great restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques, parks. I've been in the neighborhood for six years, and can help you find some fun things to do.

Now for the people details:

Me: 32 year old fiction writer (female) who works a day-job in the city. Very easy going (but not to the point where I never clean). I have a 7-year old kid who has her own room- she is accustomed to having roommates and visitors, and is a lot of fun to be around. We have been in the 'hood 6 years, have an active social life, and are artistic and pretty welcoming of most lifestyles.

My roommate: 27 year old Italian woman who works in fashion here in Williamsburg as well as the city. She is amazing and also quite easy going!

None of us are big TV watchers, although we do have a TV and DVD player for your use. We're all gone during the day, so you'll have the place to yourself. Also, the place is pretty large, so you won't feel as though you have to tip-toe around.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the place, and again, I'm pretty flexible about dates, etc...
