Whats up. I'm moving out and someone needs to move in...maybe its you!

About apartment: Its mad great! 3 Bedroom, Kitchen, Bathroom, Two living rooms, a back patio and yard. Its on the first floor. Hardwood floors throughout. The yard has become overgrown but the owner is planning on getting a landscaping company to come in after winter to take it all out and lay grass down. The rent is 700 per month. But this room is the smallest room. They pay 725 each. You'd pay 650. But the room is great and the apartment is huge. Its about 71/2 ft by 13 feet with a closet, and there is a window facing the backyard. Very nice and quiet. Also, the room has exposed brick, its really cool.

The neighborhood: their are lots of cool bars and trendy restaurants, its a hip spot, deli's, grocery stores, Prospect Park is about 10 blocks away, and locals are very friendly. Plenty of street lights at night.

My roommates: two females, one is a bartender/actress (this roommate has two cats which are so chill and lovely, so you can't be allergic) and the other is a server/make-up artist. They are really cool, and really clean as far as keeping the house straightened up and clean. THERE ARE NO BUGS! and we'd like to keep it that way!

You are: someone very respectful, knows how to pick up after yourself, and can take hold of the lease with the possibility of re-signing.

To move in: you'll pay 650. (700 to the landlord and the roommates each give you 25 bucks) and 1400 security deposit. The deposit will be returned to you when you leave as long as you don't knock a wall down. Thats it. You move in December 1st. I can be out the afternoon of Nov 30th if need be.

I am subletting my spacious and furnished 1 bedroom apartment in Prospect-Lefferts Garden over Thanksgiving. The sublet is only for Nov 24-30 (minimum 2 day stay). The cost is $45 per day but only if you are willing to cat-sit for me while you are there, otherwise the cost will be $50. I have one very sweet and quiet cat who is really easy to take care of. If you are not willing to cat-sit, then I can take her to a friends house and the cost will be $50. This cost includes heat/gas/electric. I have a queen sized futon bed - very comfortable - tables, chairs, couch, desk, and there is a full kitchen and bathroom with huge tub. There are 3 large windows that get nice light, and a small window in the bathroom. The apartment is on the 5th floor of an elevator building, in a safe neighborhood, literally a one minute walk to the Q express train (Prospect Park stop) and the entrance to the beautiful Prospect Park. There are plenty of convenience stores, and a nice coffee shop and a few nice restaurants down the street. The Q or B train gets you to Union Square in about 25 mins, and the best part is that the train goes over the Manhattan Bridge, giving you a lovely view of the city every time. You are also walking distance to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Museum, and Brooklyn Public Library.

Just a few things to know: in the apartment you can sometimes hear the above ground trains as they pass by, but it is not nearly as annoying as if the windows faced a busy street and had street noise all the time, and also with music on or the windows closed, you can barely hear it at all.
I require pre-payment for the days you will stay, and you will have to come view the apartment before Nov 24, otherwise if you are out of town and can't make it before then, my boyfriend can meet up with you.

Of course, anything you would rather not have in the room is open to discussion. The room is very spacious because of the lofted bed, and has space for hanging out, as well as sleeping and working. The apartment has a full sized kitchen (recently re-done) and a bathroom, as well as one more bedroom.

The neighborhood is the best I've lived in; very close to transportation (the G is a 5 min walk away for intrabrooklyn travel, the L is a 10 min walk away to get you into downtown Manhattan, and the 7 is a short busride away to take you to midtown). You're also a brief walk away from the bars, restaurants and shops of Williamsburg (which is not to say that Greenpoint doesn't have a great variety of the same for you to check out!).

The price for this room is $750 for the month of Dec. and an additional $350 to stay until the 18th of January, which includes the cost of electric and internet. I am willing to be flexible on the price as well (though in any case, if you want to stay the full month of January, it would be another full months rent). I would love someone to be able to come by and check out the room, as well as give myself and your potential temporary roommate a chance to get to know a little more about you in person. you would be getting your own furnished room with a desk and a futon, decent size (7' x 11.5'), with a large, tall window. there is no closet in the bedroom, but you would be sharing the 1/2 room as a huge walk-in closet with me, complete with large racks and nice n' long midcentury credenza. the 1/2 room is pretty much as big as the bedrooms so it is a BIG CLOSET, way better than if you had a closet in the bedroom. there's also an actual closet built into the 1/2 room for storage -- i can't stress what a luxury this is. the large living room is also a big plus to the space.

We are all in our mid-twenties and prefer another chill roommate to join us.
