Hi, I am renting out a large, furnished bedroom in my charming Park Slope abode, from June 1st-Aug. 31st. Rent is $1,000 a month.

My apartment is spacious, tastefully decorated, has wooden floors and high ceilings and is drenched in sunlight all day long. The apartment has a large living room, large kitchen and bathroom with a tub. The private bedroom for rent has a day bed (with a pull out trundel - twin bed below), desk, internet modem, closet space and wardrobe rack.

The apartment is in a safe neighborhood. Park Slope is such an amazing place to be in the summer! Prospect Park is one block away; free concerts at the bandshell await! I am located one block to the F train, which is a 20 minute ride into lower Manhattan.

I am a 32 year old teacher that works in the city. I share my space with my two sweet, yet independent cats. I love literature, art, foreign films, black & white photography, cooking good food and drinking good wine. I am also eager to explore new countries and cultures; hence, I will be away for nearly four weeks over the summer. The apartment is located in Carroll Gardens and is between the "Carroll" and "Smith/9th Street" stop on the F train. It's in a great neighborhood and is close to all the great restaurants on Smith and Court Streets. It's 5 subway stops to get into manhattan on the F train and two stops if you needed to transfer to the "A/C" train (jay street). The actual apartment is off of Court street.

The place is in amazing condition and as you can see (below)it was completly re-done when we moved in. It's got all new hard wood floors, marble countertops and stainless steal appliances. It's has high ceilings and is overall very spacious for two people.

Me: 28, female, young professional, responsible, clean, respectful, easy going and considerate. Spend at least two weekends a month out of town.

You: Clean (but not overly anal!), respectful, responsible, easy going and polite. Also, I would prefer a female, young professional or graduate student. It would be best if you didn't have a lot of furniture. Bedroom furniture would only be necessary. Also, 2 references are a must! Oh, and sorry, but NO pets!

The available room: It's very large (unsure of demensions - guestimate: 14x12)and has two closets and two large windows which face the front of the building.
