$1250 / 1br - 1 bedroom available in Cobble Hill (includes all utilities) (Court St., Cobble Hill)

I have one bedroom available in a two-bedroom apartment in Cobble Hill.

The short version:
*1 room available for 1 month (June 19-July 20, possibly longer). Rent includes all amenities (cable, wi-fi, electric, gas, cleaning lady) and is $1250 for the month sublet.

The Long Version:
The apartment is on a great block in Cobble Hill – right on Court Street south of Atlantic. It’s surrounded by the bagel shop, 24 hour bodega, CVS, Pacific Green grocery, the Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, etc. Cobble Hill Park is a block away as is laundry. There’s a Key Food grocery store about 3 blocks – on the corner of Clinton and Atlantic. For the corporation lovers among us there are 2 Starbucks within 2 blocks, as well as 2 American Apparels. A new Urban Outfitters just came in down the street as well. Although the hummus and falafel on Atlantic Avenue is hard to beat, there’s a Subway sandwich shop and McDonald’s down the street. In terms of transportation, it’s 2 blocks from the F/G trains and about 5 blocks from the trains that stop at Borough Hall (2/3/4/5/N) and Jay Street (A/C). In terms of shopping this is an amazing area – Smith Street is a block away which has a million restaurants and bars (Tuesday night Rock Band at Camp anyone?) and Court Street has a lot of great “neighborhood” stores (ie fish market, local bookstore, toy stores, nail salons, UPS store, etc.) It’s incredibly safe and cabs from the LES fall in the $10-$13 range. Cabs from LGA are around $30. Rent includes all amenities (cable, wi-fi, electric, gas, cleaning lady).

The apartment has 6 rooms – the bathroom (decent sized, has a window), kitchen (again, good sized – had a table but never used it so we got rid of it, also has a window), 2 bedrooms, a “closet room” (there are no closets in the apartment so the landlord built these out of the wall – the room acts as kind of a walkway between the kitchen and the living room) and the living room (good sized – fits two couches, has two windows). It’s an older building – original beautiful wood floors, tin ceilings and all the quirks that you would expect. It’s a 4th floor walk up – the top floor in a low-rise neighborhood so the space gets lot of light. Also, there is roof access, but it’s limited and the landlord doesn’t like it (he looks in the other direction, but I haven’t planned any major parties up there or anything. Afternoon BBQ? No big deal.) I am hoping you don’t have too much stuff – I’ve lived here for a few years now so the fundamentals (couch, kitchen, bathroom) are taken care of. If you’re interested please let me know what you’d be bringing – I’ll let you know if it will be too tight.

Also, NO PETS, sorry.

Now for the room:
$1250 – I’ve included a floor plan below, but the space is 7x12, has a full size bed, a small bookcase, a bench, and a window. The room has its own separate remote-controlled AC in the summer time.

The finances:
I’m asking $1250 for the room. Again, this includes all utilities (cable, wi-fi, electric, gas, and cleaning lady) with a possible extra $100 for the summer months if the AC bill is insane. It’s an amazing price for the area. I’m also asking for a security deposit).

About me:
I’m a Midwest transplant working in the music industry. I’ll be out of town this entire month and am hoping to find someone laid back and low maintenance (a dream, right?). I would just like as little drama as possible, someone laid back. I have a very nice landlord and don’t want to cause him any headaches.

Let me know if you have any questions!

(PS – the last time I listed the room I had an overwhelming response. If you’re interested and send me an email don’t be worried if I’m not able to get right back to you. If you’d like to follow up, feel free.)
