Large room for rent in Ground floor, 3 bedroom apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Apartment has two baths, full kitchen, living room, and a private garden. Apartment is on Carlton Ave, right around the corner from the C train at Lafayette Ave. and the G train (equidistant between the Fulton stop and the Clinton-Washington stop). A 5 minute walk to Atlantic Avenue station, where you can get the N, R, Q, B, D, 2, 3, 5, etc trains. Easy commute to the city and Williamsburg, Greenpoint, etc. Near Atlantic Center Mall, so Target, Pathmark, etc is close as well is laundry and the restaurants and bars of Dekalb Ave. Available June 1.

The room:
The room is big and is the front room of the apartment. It has its own private entrance, and unique details, like two large windows with pocket shutters, and a (non-functioning) fireplace with nice hearth tile work. There is plenty of room for a queen size bed, dresser, bookshelves, records, etc. There is no built in closet, but a rolling one is provided so you can choose where you want your closet to go. Access to rest of the apartment is through the main hallway. Rent is $900 a month, plus around $30 dollars a month for internet/cable (if you choose to go in on it). Heat, hot water, and electricity is included. There is a permanent wooden wall separating the front two bedrooms, however they were originally one large room (the parlor).
Who we are looking for:
The ideal person is someone (male or female) looking for a short term stay (3-6 months) who doesn't have a lot of furniture, although the room is empty (except for the rolling closet) and free to fill up. The rest of the apartment is completely furnished and no room for more kitchenware and whatnot. Must be an adult. Not looking for someone that doesn't share in cleaning and leaves dirty dishes in the sink. No Cats or Dogs -- we already have two.
Who we are:
My sister and I live in the other two bedrooms in the apartment. She is 29 and works in the film industry and is home most nights except for the occasional work related event. I am 26 and a musician and work in a recording studio. I'm not around in the day very much and tend to work late or am out. We both are into music. We both are in relationships and have company over a few nights a week. We both also stay over at our bf/gf houses often. We have two cats that are very friendly and like to play outside in the garden most of the time.
