I am looking for someone to sublet an 8 x 13 ft. bedroom in a 2BR apartment on Bedford Ave. and S. 1st St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn from June 26th until July 31st. You will be sharing the apartment--including a living room, bathroom, and kitchen, with a nice, respectful art student. There is a laundromat literally across the street, a great video rental store caddy-corner from the apartment, and several cool bars and restaurants on the block. The Bedford Ave. L train stop is about a 5-minute walk away, which takes you right into Manhattan in a matter of a few more minutes.
The bedroom has 2 windows, and is furnished with a full size bed, nightstand, desk, dresser, and includes a small closet. There is a wireless internet connection, and the living room has a TV and DVD player. The apartment is cozy, but nothing fancy. I would recommend a single, responsible, non-smoker who does not require too many yuppie comforts.
I am asking for $1100 (all bills included) to be paid upfront for the entire 5-week stay. I will consider pro-rating the price for a shorter stay, but the stay cannot be longer than the dates mentioned above. I'm also asking for a $200 deposit, which will be returned upon leaving.
