This to-the-trade furniture company seeks individual to help manage a new manufacturing facility in Busshwick/Ridgewood. Role encompasses responsibilities for shipping, receiving, stock maintenance and preparation of orders.
Duties include:
- Maintain physical inventory of stocks of woods, fabrics, metal and electrical components and samples.
- Regular updating and entry of inventory records, recording receipt and depletion.
- Place material orders for parts and track order fulfillment from outside vendors.
- Maintain online logs of additions to and deductions from inventoried items.
- Prepare all outgoing orders of furniture, upholstery, and lighting meeting standards of a high-end firm.
- Coordinate shipping to clients and intra-company shipping.
- Maintain paperwork for all outgoing/incoming shipments.
This is a challenging opportunity for a hands-on, self-directed individual with excellent technical thinking and problem-solving skills, looking for professional development in an exciting environment. Experience with similar firms a strong plus.
